Lancashire star turns out for Bagnall 1st XI

Lancs cricket star Oliver Newby is Bagnall CC's latest recruit. The 6'5" paceman was drafted into the 1st XI for today's game with Meakins.

Oliver, who regularly tips 90 mph will be hoping to make a big impact at today's match along with fit-again club pro Kashif Daud.

Let's hope the weather permits full play. Get up to Bagnall to see 1st Class stars play at the Light Oaks patch.

Under 15's go down to last ball

A thrilling match at Knypersley saw the Under 15's lose in the last ball of the day. Knype needed 2 off the last ball and narrowly avoided a catch (valiant effort by Joe Heath) and a run out to secure the win.

Great performances by James Brindley with the bat and ball, and bowlers, Joe Bradburn, Oliver Bowditch and  George Walker, along with catches from James Bourne, George Heath and Walker ensured a nail-biting finish.

Well done and unlucky, boys.
