New time for Winter Nets!

Please note that winter nets will now be taking place at 3:00pm-5:00pm on Sundays at Brough Park Leisure Centre in Leek. Sessions will remain at this time up until Sunday 23rd March.

The sessions are for both the Junior and Senior players, whilst new players are very welcome to attend.

Additional Players Wanted for 2014 Season

We are looking for players of all abilities to join our three senior teams ahead of the 2014 season. 

Any interested parties are free to come along to our winter net sessions that are currently taking place on Sunday’s at Brough Park Leisure in Leek from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Though please note from Sunday 2nd February - Sunday 23rd March they will run from 3:00pm - 5:00pm (at the same venue).

The Bagnall Blog - January 2014

Happy New Year to all our members! Here’s hoping that it is a successful one for the club both on and off the field.

Here is a summary of what has happened at the club recently and also what shall be happening up the club in the near future: -

New First Team Captain and Vice-Captain

We are delighted to welcome back Paul Shaw as our new First Team Captain, with John Powell becoming his Vice-Captain.

Paul was the clubs first ever professional in 2000, and during this time was a prolific run scorer and wicket taker. His previous spell as Club Captain was a very successful one, culminating in the First Team promotion season of 2003. Let’s hope his new spell is just as triumphant!

Shawry has appointed John Powell as his Vice-Captain.  As I’m sure many of you know John has been a long time member of the club who has served the club well during this time. We would also like to wish JP all the best in his new role.

Winter Nets: -

Our Winter Net sessions resumed on 5^th January following the Christmas and New Year break.

In the three sessions that we have had so far there has been a good turnout of junior and senior players. Our thanks to all those who have attended as well as Mat Brazier and Russ Gammon for putting on coaching sessions for the junior players.

The sessions run on Sundays from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Brough Park Leisure Centre in Leek. Though please note from Sunday 2^nd February - 23^rd March the sessions will run from 3:00pm until 5:00pm

All existing junior and senior members are welcome attend, whilst they also provide a great opportunity to introduce any possible new players to the club.

Committee Meeting: -

The latest committee meeting was held on Tuesday 7^th January, our thanks to all of the members who attended and contributed in the discussions that were held. The minutes from the meeting will be added to the club website in due course.

Our next meeting will take place at the club on Tuesday 4^th February at 8:00pm. All members are welcome to attend!

Registration Night: -

Details of this years Registration Night have yet to be confirmed, but we expect to make a decision over the coming weeks. Once it is known we will communicate out the details to you all.

However we can confirm that as agreed at the AGM the annual subscription fees for all players and social members will remain the same as last year. They are as follows: -

·         Seniors - £50.

·         Juniors - £30.

·         Students - £30.

·         Under 9’s - £20.

·         Social Members - £5. 

Going Forward: -

Having heard back from members that we don’t communicate enough we are putting together an e-mail distribution list that will inform people of what’s going on at the club on and off the field.

The e-mail addresses that are obtained on the Registration Forms will be automatically added to the e-mail group. If there is anybody you know of that is not included please forward their e-mail address to Matt@BagnallCC.com and I will make sure that you receive communications going forward. 

Alternatively if you do not wish to be part of the group then please inform me via e-mail at the above address and I will remove you from the distribution list.
